This program is idealfor instilling the value of a safety culture.Field Safety – From craftperson to superintendent, Field Safety has been designed forindividuals who are involved with completing or overseeing tasks in the constructionindustry. NCCER Safety Program
The Construction Site Safety Program (CSST) Training is a 100-hour training program that thoroughly examines over 50 safety-related topics. Participants receive training that allow them to return to their companies with applicable new skills and a proactive approach to safety. The CSST Training is designed to prepare an individual or a team of professionals in your company for assuming the responsibility of coordinating a construction site/project safety program. This course introduces the trainee to the required knowledge and activities of a construction site safety technician and is intended for all employees who desire to work in the construction industry as safety personnel.
The Construction Site Safety Program requires module exams and performance evaluations* to be completed and passed to receive certification from NCCER. There are 20 module exams that must be completed with a passing score of 70 to earn credit. A retest is available in the event you do not pass. There is a 48 hour waiting period before a retest can be completed.
The CSST (Construction Site Safety Technician) class includes the following Certificates:
CPR/FIRST AID/AED Field Safety (NCCER)
Safety Technology (NCCER)
Construction Site Safety Technician (NCCER)
Construction Site Safety Supervisor (NCCER)
Construction Site Safety Orientation (NCCER)
This course will be offered periodically throughout the year. The maximum course enrollment size is 15 participants.
Virtual Training is now available for this course.
Virtual Training includes live Instructor-led Training and Online Testing. A testing proctor will be present for all Online Testing. If participants are using NCCER as the curriculum provider, an NCCER Remote Proctoring auditor will also be present during all Remote Online Testing sessions.
*Virtual training does not include Performance Evaluations. All Performance Evaluations must be conducted in-person at our P3 Specialized Training training center.

This training is designed for field managers, safety directors, safety committees, owner safety representatives, and insurance/loss control representatives. To help prevent accidents, a safety program must be in place. This five-volume NCCER curriculum will provide you with the rules and safeguards you need to work safely on any job site. Safety must be incorporated into all phases of the job and involve all employees at every level, including management. Field Safety is one of three titles in the NCCER Safety Learning Series, covering topics such as Hazard Communication, Fall Protection, and Forklift Safety.
